Oregon Rohingya Society which acronym is (ORS) founded by some Rohingya Immigrants residing in Oregon, United States during the year 2007. ORS is mainly a social welfare and humanitarian foundation to assist Refugee Resettlement, Humanitarian Help and Education Elevation by finding ways in our outmost endeavor.

The Vision of ORS is to create awareness among international communities and to aid Rohingya refugees in particular and Burmese refugees in general.

The Mission of ORS is venturing ways to resettle UN recognized Rohingya Refugees in countries willing to accept them, communicating with various organizations for humanitarian support for needy Rohingya and Improving basic literacy among the Rohingya children.

The Activities of ORS are:

-ORS maneuver to bring more awareness among international communities including Local and Federal Government Organizations, Non-Government Organizations, Humanitarian Groups, etc. about the displaced Rohingya people inside and out side of Burma.

-ORS cooperates with different government and non government bodies to consider resettlement of Rohingya and Burmese refugees in their respective countries.

-ORS endeavors to draw international communities’ attention in order to help Rohingya children to access basic education.

-ORS cosponsors and assists Refugees Resettlement process and encourages voluntary participation in building an erudite society in the future
